Silken Windhounds are a new breed of sighthound whose medium size, lovely coat, and pleasant temperament distinguish them in the canine world. Silkens embody athleticism, grace, beauty, and speed. They are affectionate, playful, alternately energetic and mellow. They'll race around one minute and lounge the next—and they do look exquisite when they lounge!

Rubia Hounds is a small kennel in northern California, near San Francisco. A lifetime’s fascination with dogs led me to Silkens. It was their temperament that attracted me to them initially; their beauty and athleticism became apparent to me later.
